In a bizarre crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also adds the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
